    AI Summary

This tariff classification falls within Chapter 87, which covers vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock and their parts and accessories. Specifically, code 8703.70.00 covers motor vehicles designed for transporting people, powered by both a diesel/semi-diesel engine and an electric motor that can be charged by plugging in. Numerous subdivisions exist based on engine cylinder capacity (under 1,500cc, 1,500-2,500cc, or over 2,500cc) and whether the vehicle is new or used, with further distinctions for vehicle type like ambulances, motor homes, or other general use vehicles – select the correct statistical suffix based on these specific characteristics. For statistical reporting, "new" vehicles haven't been sold beyond the manufacturer/distributor/dealer level, while "used" vehicles have had a first sale to an ultimate purchaser.
