The Cummins Jamestown Engine Plant specializes in manufacturing heavy-duty diesel and natural gas engines, including the X15, ISX12, and X12 series. The facility has produced over 2.5 million engines since its inception and is a cornerstone of Cummins’ North American operations. JEP is currently investing in next-generation, fuel-agnostic engine platforms to support the transition to lower-carbon and hydrogen-powered vehicles. The plant employs nearly 1,500 people and is the largest private employer in Chautauqua County, New York.
