    Port Overview

    Aliaga Port is located on Turkey's Aegean Sea coast, approximately 50 kilometers north of Izmir. As of 2023, it ranks as Turkey's largest port by cargo volume, handling approximately 81.4 million metric tons annually, narrowly surpassing Kocaeli Port. The port complex serves as a vital industrial and energy hub for the Aegean region, specializing in petroleum products, petrochemicals, and fertilizers from its major refineries and industrial facilities. The port handles approximately 800,000 TEUs in container capacity. Aliaga also operates Turkey's only ship dismantling facilities, ranking as the world's fourth-largest shipbreaking yard by capacity.

    Facilities & Infrastructure

    Aliaga, Turkey hosts major terminals including the Ege Gaz LNG terminal, TUPRAS oil refinery terminal, Petkim petrochemical terminal, and Total terminal. The port handles crude oil, petroleum products, chemicals, LPG, LNG, and bulk cargo. Facilities include deepwater berths for vessels up to 250,000 dwt, extensive tank farms, and specialized jetties.
