Duba Port, near the Suez Canal, is key for Mediterranean trade and handles up to 10 million tons of cargo yearly. Jazan Port, on the Red Sea, manages around 1 million TEUs and is the main gateway for livestock imports from Africa. All Other Saudi Arabia Ports feature specialized terminals for general cargo, bulk, and containers, with key facilities including multi-purpose berths, grain silos, and liquid bulk terminals. Modern equipment such as ship-to-shore cranes, rubber-tired gantry cranes, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) support efficient cargo handling. Ports like Jubail, Ras Al Khair, and Yanbu are equipped for industrial, petrochemical, and mining exports, offering advanced logistics, storage, and ship repair services.

All other Saudi Arabia container ports—excluding Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdullah Port—feature modern terminals with varying levels of automation and capacity. King Abdulaziz Port (Dammam) has around 13 container berths, a capacity of nearly 3 million TEUs, and advanced digital systems. Yanbu Commercial Port and Jizan Port have smaller container facilities, generally semi-automated, with capacities under 1 million TEUs. Major operators include Mawani, DP World, and local partners.

These ports do not rank individually in the global top 20 but contribute significantly to Saudi Arabia’s total. The number of berths across all ports exceeds 200, with a combined area of over 40 square kilometers. Major global shipping lines, including Maersk, MSC, and CMA CGM, regularly call at these ports.
