Facilities & Infrastructure
Batangas Port features the Batangas Container Terminal (BCT) with a capacity of over 300,000 TEUs annually, equipped with modern cargo handling gear, including quay cranes and yard equipment. Key facilities include seven fast-craft berths, six Ro-Ro berths, two bulk cargo berths, and a large passenger terminal. The port handles containerized, bulk, break-bulk, and vehicle cargoes, serving as a major gateway for both domestic and international trade. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are not currently reported in use.
Container Terminals
Batangas Container Terminal (BCT) has 2 berths with a depth of 13 meters and an annual capacity exceeding 300,000 TEUs. The terminal uses semi-automated systems, including quay cranes, RTGs, and Navis Sparcs for operations. Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI), in partnership with DP World, is the major operator. Expansion projects are underway to further increase capacity and modernize cargo handling equipment.
