Laem Chabang, Thailand’s main deep-sea port, features seven container terminals, a multipurpose terminal, a Ro/Ro terminal, a passenger Ro/Ro terminal, a general cargo terminal, and a shipyard terminal. The port is equipped to handle Super Post Panamax vessels and uses advanced cargo handling equipment, including ship-to-shore gantry cranes and automated guided vehicles (AGVs), supporting efficient container and general cargo operations. The port is managed by the Port Authority of Thailand with private sector terminal operators.

The port features advanced automation, including automated stacking cranes and modern container tracking systems. Major operators include Hutchison Ports, LCB1 Group, and other private concessionaires under the Port Authority of Thailand’s landlord model.
