Singapore: A global hub where innovation meets tradition at the heart of Southeast Asia.

Singapore is a city-state located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, dominating the Strait of Malacca and serving as a vital gateway between the Indian Ocean and South China Sea. As the largest port in Southeast Asia and consistently ranked among the world’s busiest, Singapore is a top global transshipment hub. Its strategic location enables rapid access to major Asian and global markets. The Port of Singapore handles over 37 million TEUs annually, underscoring its significance in international trade and logistics.
Singapore’s port features major terminals at Tuas, Pasir Panjang, Brani, Keppel, and Tanjong Pagar, with Tuas Port emerging as the world’s largest fully automated terminal. Facilities include deep-water berths, advanced quay cranes capable of handling the largest container ships, and extensive storage areas. The port uses automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and electric yard cranes for efficient cargo movement. Specialized terminals handle bulk, break-bulk, and automotive cargo, supporting high transshipment volumes and global connectivity.
Singapore’s container terminals, operated mainly by PSA Corporation, include Tanjong Pagar, Keppel, Brani, Pasir Panjang, and the new Tuas Port. Together, they offer over 50 berths and handled more than 40 million TEU in 2024. Tuas Port, the most advanced, features full automation with automated cranes and guided vehicles. PSA is the major operator, with Jurong Port handling bulk and general cargo. Tuas aims for a 65 million TEU annual capacity by 2040.
