The Port of Longview is a deep-draft port located on the Columbia River in southwest Washington, approximately 66 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Established in 1921, it is recognized as the first full-service port on this critical shipping channel. The port spans 835 acres and features eight marine terminals as well as extensive waterfront industrial properties. Its location and infrastructure provide strategic intermodal connections by linking the Columbia River with major railroads like BNSF and Union Pacific, as well as direct access to the north–south Interstate 5 highway. Over the past century, the Port of Longview has played a pivotal role in regional economic development, supporting both local jobs and international trade. In addition to cargo handling for bulk, breakbulk, and project cargos, the port also invests in industrial land developments and community projects, highlighting its commitment to sustainable growth and public engagement.
