Port St. Joe Port Authority

The Port St. Joe Port Authority oversees the operations and strategic development of the Port of Port St. Joe in Gulf County, Florida. This deepwater port, located on the Gulf Coast, is an important gateway for cargo and bulk shipments, leveraging its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico’s shipping lanes. The port is distinguished by its nearly 1,900-foot bulkhead at the ship channel turning basin and controls approximately 213 acres of developable, ready-to-lease land adjacent to its core facilities, with thousands more acres suitable for future expansion. Historically, the port played a critical economic role in the region, and its redevelopment is central to efforts aiming to revitalize jobs and commerce after years of inactivity. Strategic investments in channel dredging and transportation connectivity, including access to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, state and U.S. highways, and plans to reestablish rail service, underscore the port’s significance as a regional economic engine.
